Membership is open to anyone with an interest in Health Informatics, within Health or Social Care professions.  Members can join individually or as a group of at least five from the same organisation at a reduced rate.  Membership is individually based and will transfer with a member should they leave their current employer.  Therefore, any member changing their employement should inform the Membership Liaison Officer. 

For each paid-up member at the 1st June the Branch receives a £5 capitation fee from the National Treasurer.  This money is used to cover the expenses of the Events for it's members, the rest having to be raised by sponsorship from interested companies.  Early renewal of membership is, therefore, greatly appreciated.  Membership is tax deductable and many other organisations will offer discounts at their events if you quote your ASSIST membership number.  Membership of ASSIST also gives you Affiliate membership of the BCS.

On becoming a member, most communications this branch will be via email with attached documents being in Word or Excel.  Any difficulties in reading any emails should be reported to the sender.  Information regarding events such as maps, presentations etc will now be found on the "Events" page of this website.

Your email address and work details will be kept on the Branch Database.  This will not be passed on to any third party. and will only be accessible to the members of the Branch Committee, if neccessary, and the National Officers of ASSIST and BCS.
